The iconic actor Kamal Haasan is gearing up to dazzle audiences with his performance in this Tamil action drama. The screenplay is crafted by the renowned Mani Ratnam, with the musical score composed by the maestro AR Rahman.

Additionally, the film's scenic shooting locations promise to enhance its visual appeal. The makers have announced that Thug Life is set to hit theaters globally on June 5, 2025.

Thug Life, Kamal Haasan's 234th film, was officially announced back in November 2022. The movie features a stellar ensemble cast, including Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Joju George, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Jisshu Sengupta, and more. This collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam continues their successful streak of delivering hits.

While the anticipation for the theatrical release of Thug Life is high, an earlier report about a substantial OTT deal for the film made headlines. According to Deccan Herald, the film secured a lucrative deal with the global streaming platform Netflix for a staggering Rs. 149.7 crores.

Initially, the lead roles in the film were intended for Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi. However, due to significant delays from the production side, both actors had to step back. Silambarasan TR stepped in to fill the role initially designated for DQ.
