One of the BEST Biopics ever made in Bollywood is the Shekhar Kapur's directorial 'Bandit Queen'.



The recent trend in Bollywood is the 'Biopics'. Every filmmaker now wants to make Biopics. But not every biopic showcases reality, most of them are with added fiction and more of drama.

But it's not the same with Shekhar Kapur's directed 1994 'Bandit Queen' which is based on the life of Phoolan Devi.

Seema Biswas plays the main lead as Phoolan Devi. The movie showcases her journey on how she faces discrimination, sexual abuse in society and becomes the first lady Bandit. 



The movie is one of the controversial biopics ever made in Bollywood. The movie keeps you thrilled and at the same time showcases the problems that prevailed in the society and how people were treated based on their castes.

This movie also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Nirmal Pandey and many other actors who keep us engaged in every scene. 



With the exceptionally talented Seema Biswas as Phoolan Devi, Bandit Queen was a powerful piece of work chronicling the rise and fall of various gang leaders and Phoolan Devi in particular. Helmed by veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, Bandit Queen even won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.
