Singers Sharib Sabri and oshi Sabri have come out in defence of their sister's action of threatening her baby daughter.

Recently, Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli had shared a video of a small girl being threatened and hit by her mother while teaching. After a lot of research it was revealed that the girl child in the video was singers, Sharib Sabri and Toshi Sabri niece, Haya.

Soon after Virat posted it, the video went viral and became the talk of the town. Many cricketers, Bollywood and Television celebrities came forward and expressed their pain and empathy towards the child being tortured.

Defending the action of their sister, Sharib and Toshi have released a video  wherein they have said that the method used by their sister to teach the Haya is justified because she is a "stubborn" child.

When a popular daily contacted them, singer Toshi said that the video was made for their family's WhatsApp group, "Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan don't know about us. Hamare bachche ke bare mein humein pata hai naah ki hamara bacha kaisa hai! Uska nature hai waisa... Agle hi pal woh khelne chali jaati hai. Agar aap usko chod do toh woh kahengi main mazzak kar rahi thi. Uske nature ki wajah se chod denge toh woh padai bhi nahi kar paayengi. (We know about our child better. Haya's nature is such that after being scolded, the next minute she runs off to play. But, because of her nature if we don't push her, she won't study.)"

The family didn't expect the video to go viral. "Woh video ek maa ka video hai, apne bhai aur husband ko dikhaane ke liye banaya tha, ki bachchi bahut ziddi ho gayi hai. (The video was made by the child's mother, who wanted to show her brother and husband that how stubborn the girl has become).

Toshi adds that it's important for the child to learn, and it's okay for one to overlook the tantrums of the child if it's the question of education.

"The homework she gets in nursery, of learning numbers, she'll never be able to learn. Woh jo rona hota hain, woh us moment ke liye tha taaki uski maa use padaaye na aur khelne de. Chota bachcha hai 2.5-3 saal ka. (All the crying was for that moment so that her mother doesn't make her study and let her play. Haya is just about 3 years old). It's not a big issue. Har ghar mein bachon ki alag zidd hoti hai, alag-alag tareeke ke bachche hote hain. [Ye] bachchi bahut zyada ziddi hai [lekin] humari laadli hai. (In every house there are different kind of children. Ours is a very stubborn child but is extremely dear to us)," he adds.

"Jab baaki logon ko bura lag raha [hai to] woh to maa hai (When other's are feeling bad on seeing the video, then being a mother of course she's upset too)," says Toshi when asked about the reaction of Haya's mother.

Also, Toshi says no one should make a judgment by just seeing a 1.5 minute video. "Ek maa ki mamta hai, judgment nahi kar sakte hain. Jisne usko 9 months kokh mein rakha hai. Ab agar bachche zidd karenge toh unko padana likhana chod dein kya? Bachon ko paalna asaan nahi hota. (One can't judge a mother's love for the child by seeing a short video. If children throw tantrums, then should we stop teaching them? It's not easy to raise children). I'm married and have a son. I know how difficult it is to raise a child. Parents have to do double duty by managing both the children and the household at the same time," adds Toshi.

Do you agree with their justification? Do you think that hitting and threatening a child to teach them something is the right way?

I completely agree to Toshi and his bro that's how a child learns .Even i have grown up like that .My mom used to do the same with me and I don't find any thing wrong in that .Its really normal and I don't why such things needs to go viral !!

Feels like this whole thing was to give them publicity. Poor kid! Toshi and Sharib are no where to be found after Raaz 2. Why would the mom video tape such things and put it on the net?

Sorry but this is nowhere justified you can't torture Or pressurise a 3 year old to study what kinda school gives homework to freaking 3 year olds? She is a baby she doesn't understand a lot of things but she could've been taught with patience and in a playful way instead of pressurising and torturing this is child abuse and this kinda behaviour is exactly what makes kids loathe and despite studies because a negative image of it gets imprinted into their minds at such an early age and they start associating it with this bitter experience which will only make her more weary and reluctant towards studies. A child's mind is the most fragile thing therefore parents should ensure to shape it in the best possible way let it grow and learn on its own instead of traumatising it that way she will turn rebellious in the future

no it was not necessary, she is still a baby she will learn by example not like this. Children learn better with music, especially when it comes to numbers and alphabets. Make it fun for her, your hands belong to you not anyone else she is a baby who cant hit back but guess what these babies grow up and will be bigger and stronger, you reap what you sow!!

First of all, like many have already said we did NOT go into your home and record this. Your sister was the one who brought this attention onto herself! Secondly, who records this? And the child is ONLY 3 year old! She is saying the numbers correctly than most 5 year olds do! There is no justification for this, and instead of rectifying the situation, you are finding excuses?!!?! You are so LUCKY right now that you are not in countries like UK, because once this video was made public, NSPCC (child protection officers) would be NOT KNOCKING but BREAKING DOWN YOUR DOOR to get the child OUT and into safe hands! And your sister would be facing charges!

Sadly people will forget about this issue in the next few days. No one will do anything about it. Had this taken place in a western and more developed nation, then the mother would be regretting what she did!

Y is police not taking any action yet. I'm glad they found who the parents and family were. I am really scared for the child. Dunno wat more abuses she has to face if these people are let Scott free. Even if they are booked under any case the child will face its consequences once this dies down. Their mentalities are appalling!!
