Star Plus' Naamkarann is the story of Avni(Arsheen Namdaar), a child born out of wedlock to her parents Asha/Ayesha (Barkha Bisht Sengupta) and Ashish (Viraf Phiroz Patel). It showcases how Daya (Reema Lagoo), Ashish's mother, is against Ashish getting married to Asha as she is a Muslim and the struggles that their daughter Avni faces from the society for not having a father figure in her life.
High on emotions and intensity, that was one of the most challenging scenes that Barkha pulled off. And it isn't just us who feel that. Barkha, herself, posted a screengrab of the scene and confessed it to being the most challenging scenes that she has ever done. Not only that, she also thanked the producers of Naamkarann Mahesh Bhatt, Guruodev Bhalla and co-actor Viraf for helping her throughout the scene.
https://instagram.com/p/BMVn9Mbjo8r/We spoke to Barkha who said, " Bhatt Sir was on the sets the day we shot the scene. He literally enacted the whole scene to me and Viraf, which made it much easier for us to perform it. He guided us step by step on how to do it and what to say. Also, Viraf and I have a comfort level. We both understand each other as actors and that worked in our favour."
Speaking about the scene, Barkha continued, "There was a silence in Asha that day, where she was taking such a huge decision for the very first time that would change her life. This scene was the turning point of the show and with Bhatt Sir being there, it helped a lot."
