Veteran and renowned Marathi actor Ramesh Bhatkar, who entertained the viewers for nearly three decades breathed his last today.
The actor was battling with cancer for a long time now and passed away today at the Elizabeth Hospital in Mumbai. The actor was 69 years old and was last seen in Anupam Kher's The Accidental Prime Minister.
Ramesh was a prolific face in Marathi theatre and cinema where his show Hello Inspector and Damink were really popular.
It is rather ironic and unfortunate that today, 4th February that is celebrated as World Cancer Day turned out to be Ramesh's last day in the world.
May his soul rest in peace.
