Sony TV as a channel continues to raise the bar when it comes to presenting path breaking shows in the likes of Beyhadh and Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi among others.

And now, exploring the mythological genre, the channel is all set to present the saga of Vignaharta Ganesha.

The show has already been in the news for its casting and apparent grandeur. And now, the latest reports suggest that the show is all set to make history.

The show will be using Mo-Cap ( Motion Capture) technology for the special effects in the show. And the makers claim that this makes them the first ones on Indian television to do so.

American company, Faceware Technologies have joined hands with Contiloe Pictures for this venture and will be working on the same.

For the uninitiated, motion capture is the process of recording movements of objects or people and then putting them on the computer to create 2D and 3D animation.

That certainly seems to be a huge step in television's new era, isn't it?
