Arav Chowdhary at the 'Mahabharat' Launch PartyArav Choudhary known as Bhishmah Pitamah of Star Plus' mythological show Mahabharat is very much enjoying his character to portray on screen. The actor talks about his role in the show and he is very much delighted to see the response that he has been getting from the viewers for his role.  Arav is not only acting on the small screen but has also acted on big screen with renowned actors in the film 'Dhoom' and also in a regional film 'Laado'.

In a conversation with TellyBuzz Arav shares his about his experience shooting for the show and the overwhelming response he has been receiving for his role in the show.

When asked Arav about his role as Bhishma Pitamah in Mahabharat he said, "I am lucky and feel blessed that I am playing the role of Bhishma Pithama. I haven't actually read Mahabharta but yes when I was small I did watch it. I love the character as I am playing a young teenaged Bhishma Pithama to the old Bhishma Pithama. This show is a film on television and every actor has been trained by Siddharth Kumar Tewary's Production team to learn horse riding, voice modulation which has actually made it easier for me to portray the role in a comfortable manner."

Talking about the reviews of the show Arav shares, "I have been getting amazing response from everyone for the role of Bhishma Pitama. They love me and are appreciating me a lot."

When quizzed him about the time he takes to get into his on screen character, Arav says, "I take almost an hour and a half with make-up and costume to get read. My mukut weighs 10 kg, sword weighs 10 to 15 kg and wearing all this takes time for me to get into the on screen character. I actually fight for action sequences which becomes strainous at times."

Arav went on to share one of the most interesting incident that he faced while shooting on TV, "There was an interesting incident that I want to share, once while I was shooting I got badly injured, my skin peeled off and my feet were also swollen but with my hectic schedule I didn't get much time to seek the doctor so I was simply resting in between the shots to recuperate."

"There have been many instances while shooting for the show wherein the chariots losses one wheel, the horses start galloping fast. Thus all these we have to bear and shoot," concludes Arav.

We hope that Arav stays in the pink of his health!
