This 'Kumkum Bhagya' actress to play Ekta Kapoor's 'Chandrakanta'?

The whole saga about 'Chandrakanta' has been buzzing for a while now, where Life Ok successfully launched its show, 'Prem Ya Paheli? - Chandrakanta' starring Kritika Kamra almost a month ago while Colors' take on the same is still under works.

The whole idea about similar shows going head-to-head seems to be fading away as Ekta Kapoor's 'Chandrakanta' hasn't gone on floors yet.

However, things seem to be finally rolling once again, as names have started to pop up again in newstown.

According to sources, actress Madhurima Tuli has been roped in to play the titular role.

Yes! That's right. Madhurima, who is best known for her powerhouse roles likes the ones in 'Kumkum Bhagya' and '24 Season 2' has the brightest chance to play the character.

While, there were talks about Nia Sharma playing the role, the developments took a halt after her look tests.

We got in contact with Madhurima, who said, "Yes. I have been approached for the show. But, nothing has been finalized as of yet."
