Ekta Kapoor is all guns blazing for her upcoming magnum opus show, 'Chandrakanta' which is all set to replace the TRP Topper, 'Naagin 2' in the month of June.

Ekta has been ruling the weekend 8-9 pm slot on Colors from almost 2 years thanks to 'Naagin' and 'Naagin 2' consistently topping rating charts and 'Kavach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se' faring well.

While actress Madhurima Tuli has been roped in to play the lead 'Chandrakanta', the character of Kunwar Virendra Vikram Singh is equally important.

According to a leading news entertainment daily, actor Vishal Aaditya Singh who is best known for his character in 'Begusarai' has been roped in to the play the character.

We contacted Vishal, who said "Well, I have given the audition and look tests are also done. However, I am still awaiting confirmation which should happen in a couple of days."
