Saurabh Tewari's upcoming musical romantic drama Phir Bhi Na Maane..Badtameez Dil is all set to hit the screens soon. The show will mark the television debut of South movie actress Asmita Sood who has been roped in to essay the character of Meher on the show.
Asmita is quite excited and happy about making a television debut with this show. in a candid chat with TellyBuzz, Asmita shares more about journey from South movies to television, about her character on the show and much more.
Talking about journey from South movies to television, Asmita told us, "I have heard that so many girls before me were auditioned for this role which was happening from quite a long time. Saurabh sir saw me in one of my advertisements and he asked his casting team to audition me for this role. So this is how I was called for the audition for the show and I got selected. I was happy doing South movies but television can give me more scope of acting and give me better exposure that I was looking for. We need to try out doing new things in life and I am doing it."
"God has always been there with me. Whenever I have dreamt of something, God has always ensured that I get them but at the same time, I had to work hard in order to achieve whatever I have achieved today in life. There is no luck without hard work," added Asmita.
When we asked about the character that she is going to play on the show, she shared, "I am playing the character of Meher on the show who is a strong headed and a business minded girl. She had the baggage on her shoulder that she has to study well and move ahead in life. She belongs to a very small background and has lead a life without luxuries. Now she has achieved something in life and has become a CEO of a company. In real life, I can somehow relate to her character when it comes facing all the obstacles and growing in life. We also share similar thoughts. I also wanted to do something larger than life always. I am happy to achieve what I have achieved today on my own. Meher represents the women of today who are powered just like I am in real life."
Everything is new for Asmita in the television industry as she hails from the industry of South movies. So we wonder what is the biggest challenge that she is facing. When we asked her about it, she quipped, "The working hours of this industry is the biggest challenge that I am facing these days! I will have to adapt myself to this. I have always been working like a freelancer as I have worked whenever I have wanted to but now it's like a job for me. I am happy working here as the people around me are good to work with and I am enjoying playing my character as well. The working hours don't matter to me that much when I am enjoying it thoroughly."
"I am glad to see that people have liked the promos and looking forward to the show. It's a first of its kind a musical promo launched by the channel which is very different from others. I am very excited to watch the first episode of the show. We will be having a big screen on sets that day and have some celebrations on the day when our show will go on-air. It's a new step in my life so its going to be special," concludes the excited girl.
We wish Asmita all the best for her debut show!
