"There have been days I did not have money to travel by local train." - Namish Taneja

The super talented Namish Taneja, currently seen on Colors' Swaragini was once, a very passionate dancer. But what drove him into a world of acting and dramatics? Tellybuzz speaks to the fine looking actor about his journey in this industry. 

I wanted to make my career in dancing, but landed up being an actor. Around three years back, one of my friends asked me to accompany him for the auditions, where the casting director told me that I too should try my luck in acting. That was the first time I got bitten by acting bug and started giving auditions. 

Struggling days are one of the most difficult times in an actor's life. I had faced a lot of rejections before I got my first break. During that time, I had already taken a lot of money from parents so couldn't ask them for help. Forget about the auto and taxi, there have been days when I didn't even have money to buy tickets for local train. 

I believe in giving 100 percent in whatever I'm doing, that's why I am trying my best and giving sweat and blood to Swaragini.

The drunken act which I had performed was very difficult and unforgettable because I had never performed such an act before. 

I bond really well with Alka Kaushal on the sets of Swaragini.

I was told that Lakshya will don a female avatar for a sequence. I wore a saree and when I was about to give a shot everyone started laughing. That's when I realized its April 1st and everyone had planned to fool me.

 

 

I would like to do a variety of roles, but I love playing the romantic hero like Lakshya.

I want to be remembered as a great entertainer and reach at the pinnacle of success.

I think, I am blessed and lucky because industry has welcomed me with open arms.
