The struggle in the Initial days of my career made me stronger - Varun Kapoor

COLORS popular shows Swaragini and Naagin are winning the hearts of the viewers since the day of its launch. Recently during COLORS Golden Petals Award, both the shows swiped away maximum number of awards.

On popular demand, Helly Shah (Swara) and Varun Kapoor (Sanskar) won the best actresses and best actors award respectively. Giving their fans on more chance to celebrate, they also bagged the award for best jodi for Swaragini.

Varun Kapoor said - "It was one of the most memorable nights of my life! For any actor it is a dream to get an award for their first show as a lead, Swaragini, helped me take my career as an actor to new heights. I would start with thanking the makers of the show, who saw the potential in me to play the character of Sanskar. They helped me grow and made Sanskar one of the favourite characters on television. The struggle in the Initial days of my career is something which made me stronger, I didn't give up even when I had a very little hope. With this award, I believe the hard work towards my passion has finally paid off. "

Further the elated actor adds,  "I can't thank my wife enough, while I was working so hard day and night, I somehow couldn't be around her a lot of times but she never failed to be by my side. A lot of love goes to my parents as there were times, when I couldn't talk to them every day but their blessings were with me the entire time. I dedicate these awards to them and their patience. Audience has made Sanskar what he is today and hence, I promise to entertain them with my work always. The journey has been beautiful and worth every effort!"

Whereas Naagin got the prestigious award of best show along with best personality - Mouni Roy (Shivanya) and Power-packed Performer - Sudha Chandran (Yamini Raheja)
