'The scene had to be natural' - Ashima Bhalla

Ashima Bhalla talks about her experience shooting for a fire sequence despite fear of fire! Read on..

Ashima Bhalla,
lead actress of Star Plus' primetime soap Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni recently had to shoot for a special fire sequence in the show. Despite suffering from fire-phobia, the gutsy young lady went ahead with the shoot after reassurance from the creative unit regarding the safety measures and precautions taken while shooting.

"Scenes involving fire are always scary to shoot. Above all, the location of the shoot was so congested, that if there was a small mishap, then there was no way in which all could run out. So I was very tense in doing this scene. I had done a stunt scene, falling from a cliff, before for the serial, and the creatives wanted me to do a stunt scene once more. But then, I had to give it a go, because the scene had to be natural. I had to run around in the fire, searching for my new born kid, so expressions and emotions could not be brought about well with a body double. So I finally decided to do the scene, but believe me, it was very scary, and I swear not to do such a scene again.", is what Ashima has to say in return to her enthralling experience.

When asked about the generation leap that the serial is going to take and her presence in it, this is what the lovely actress had in store for us , "I have not decided whether to do the leap or not. I still have 1-2 months to go, before the leap happens. So let's see."

Hats off to the pretty lady for being committed enough and trying to do something so risky, with precision. We wish her all the best and hope we get to see more of Ashima in the future.
