An array of shows that were launched on Apple TV when the streamer itself debuted last year and the big ticket ones even went on to score a Season 2 renewal almost right away or even before the first season aired.

There was a lot of talk about The Morning Show Season 2 when it was confirmed but that immediately had the conversation about if Steve Carell will return or not.

However, it can be confirmed that Carell is returning to the show and not just him but two new additions have also been done. Greta Lee and Ruairi O'Connor have joined the series, which is set to resume production on Oct. 19 after shutting down in the spring as the coronavirus pandemic spread. Apple has also confirmed that Steve Carell, who initially signed a one-year deal with the show, will return as a series regular.

The characters Lee and O'Connor are playing suggest that The Morning Show will dive into the world of streaming media in its second season. Lee (Russian Doll) will play Stella Bak, the young, ambitious leader of an online media company that caters to millennial and Gen Z audiences.

Along with Carell, the returning cast includes stars and executive producers Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, Emmy winner Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Bel Powley, Karen Pittman and Desean Terry.
