The second season of 'Diya Aur Baati Hum 2' has been on full throttle when it comes to casting actors lately. Recently, we reported about actors Mayank Arora and Kabeer Kumar being roped in for pivotal roles in the show.

While, Avinesh Rekhi has been roped in to play the lead role in the show, the hunt for the female lead had been going on extensively.

And now, the wait is finally ended..

According to a leading news entertainment portal, actress Rhea Sharma has been finalized to play the female lead opposite Avinesh Rekhi.

Rhea is best known for her performance in the show, 'Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar' and also had a noticeable cameo in the blockbuster film, 'M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story'.

The loyal viewers of 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' were initially saddened with the news that Anas Rashid and Deepika Singh wont be returning in the second season, but have also been eagerly waiting for details of the second season.

According to sources, the show is expected to go on floors at the end of this month, which incidentally also marks the eve of Diwali.

Couldn't get any more blessed and auspicious, could it?
