The Dwayne Johnson-Emily Blunt Starrer 'Ball & Chain' Lands At Netflix

Dwayne Johson and Emily Blunt starrer Ball & Chain has already made a lot of news especially owing to the fact that the duo has another project in the form of Jungle Cruise all set and rolling.

Talking about Ball and Chain, the superhero film package has landed at Netflix.

The project is based on the '90s comic of the same name by Scott Lobdell, which Oscar nominee Emily V. Gordon will adapt. Johnson and Blunt will play a couple struggling in their marriage are equipped with superpowers. However, their powers only work when they’re together.

Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia will produce for Seven Bucks Productions, along with Kevin Misher for Misher Films. Blunt is making her producing debut on the project and will produce via her Ledbury Productions.

Andy Berman for Misher Films and Scott Lobdell will exec produce.

Audiences will get to see that chemistry when Jungle Cruise is released July 2021. The Disney movie was due to be released this summer before the coronavirus crisis pushed it back. The duo and their interplay were a highlight at last year's D23 convention for Disney fans.
