The Director assured that the scene will not be bold: Saumya Shetye on molestation scene in ‘Barrister Babu'

Colors’ show ‘Barrister Babu’ is gearing up for major drama and twist in the show. The current track of the show revolves around Anirudh being arrested in Chandrachur’s murder charges. He has accepted his crime and was not revealing what made him angry on Chandrachur, so much so that he got so angry.

However, Bondita was determined to find out about the entire matter. With her intelligence, Bondita came to know that Anirudh saw Chandrachur molesting Tapur and that’s the reason he went behind him in rage. He has been staying mum to protect Tapur’s dignity. In the previous episodes, Bondita dresses up as Chandrachur and Tapur loses her mental state and freaks out. In that particular state, she blurts out the truth.

India Forums got in touch with actress Saumya Shetye and asked her about shooting for the track and if she was skeptical on taking up the show and shooting the molestation scene. Saumya quipped, “Well, before signing the project, my parents had a detailed meeting with the Director of the show Mangesh Kanthale and he assured my parents that the scene will not have any bold content or awkward shots. We trusted him with his words. After shooting for show for a while now, I feel Mangesh Sir has grown to become a father figure for me and I’m blessed to work under his guidance”.

Expressing her thoughts on bagging the show, Saumya said, “Many girls auditioned for the role. I was on the top of the world to know that among so many girls, I was the one who was selected. I was ecstatic”.

We asked the young actress about her her thoughts on the lead pair Bondita and Anirudh played by actors Anchal Sahu and Pravisht Mishra. She said, “Anchal and Pravisht along with the other cast member were very welcoming. Anchal and Pravisht are very down to earth people. They’re very supportive. Within a short span of time, we really gelled along well”.

Talking about the revealation scene where Tapur breaks down, Saumya said, “I’ve been receiving a lot of positive feedback from the viewers of the show. It’s very motivating and overwhelming. I’d like to mention that the entire team of ‘Barrister Babu’ including cast, crew, creative, production team and my parent’s support have been instrumental in me being able to pull off that scene and I’d like to thank all of them for their continuous support”.
