Ever since KriArj Entertainment announced the release date of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starer film Fanney Khan's release date it sort of broke the internet. The date announced was June 15, 2018, i.e Eid. It was a surprise as Salman Khan's Race 3 is also expected to hit the theatres during Eid.
The news was shocking because not every time ex-lovers clash at the box office. The topic became a rage and was highly discussed by the media.
However, according to a report in a leading daily, the makers of Fanney Khan have been warned for their decision. A trade expert spoke to the daily stating, "Reactions to the news weren't favourable. Eid is locked for a Salman film. Any film clashing with it must be contextually strong." The report further suggests that makers held numerous meeting discussing the change in the release date.
But KriArj Entertainment, producers of Fanney Khan took to Twitter to clear the air on this matter. They tweeted:
Earlier, when the makers announced the release date they were quite confident about their decision and backed it by an explanation saying, "We have locked the release date of Fanney Khan on Eid 2018 (June 15). We decided on Eid because of the lead character Fanney Khan, played by Anil Kapoor, is a Muslim character and there's no better day than Eid (to release it)".
Analysing the report as a whole seems like irrespective of what the trade expert has to offer, the makers of Fanney Khan are adamant on their confident decision of releasing the film in Eid.
So, with no further announcement from the makers, seems like as for now the clash between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan is ON.
