The Bollywood Chaos

BollyCurry mentions a few films where the chaos precedes the main story so much that it changed the climax to one big epic scene in the end.

The month of July celebrates Pandemonium Day - a day dedicated to the madness, chaos and unexpected turn of events and surprises. So what better way can we embrace pandemonium than by looking down our own Indian film industry loaded with surprises, crazy plots and climaxes that are totally unpredictable. Bollywood has it all, hence with this article, BollyCurry mentions a few films where the chaos precedes the main story so much that it changed the climax to one big epic scene in the end.

Housefull

First up is Sajid Khan's 2010 comedyflick Housefull starring Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone and Lara Dutta in the main leads. This film revolves around the four characters forcing themselves to lie at every point to save themselves. As they all get invited to the Royal Palace, they plan to reveal their secrets. However, things gets wary when instead of normal air conditioning gas, the hall is supplied with laughing gas. What follows then is an unpredictable outburst of laughter and chaos. However, once all the secrets are revealed, there are a lot of serious faces left behind in the end!

Housefull 2

Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen (2012), a sequel to Housefull (2010), stars Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Asin Thottumkal and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles alongside many other supporting characters. With a lot of mix ups taking place either for revenge, love or friendship, this film takes us to the climax where all the fathers, despite knowing the truth, play along with the charade.

Dhoom 3

Dhoom 3 is a 2013 action thriller film and thethird installation of the Dhoom series. Aamir Khan plays the roles of both Samar and Sahir, twin brothers pulling off one last heist together. After many twists and turns, the film climaxes at the crucial point where the two brothers find themselves surrounded by the entire police force during their botched escape from their biggest heist to date. With brotherly affection and unable to part ways, the two eventually jump off a bridge.

Ek Tha Tiger

Next is the Salman Khan starrer 2012 action spy film Ek Tha Tiger, which also has quite an end! Just as we were thinking that the film had reached its end, Tiger and Zoya fooled their agents about their whereabouts in a turn of events. However, like every other film, this one also has a happy ending with the love birds never being caught, but having to be on the look out.

Kahaani

Kahaani, a 2012 mystery thriller tells the tales ofa pregnant woman Vidya (Vidya Balan) searching for her missing husband with the help of two men. The thriller has a truly shocking climax as we're made to question the entire premise of the story. Without the audiences having any inkling beforehand, the story unfolds to show us that Vidya was using the farce of pregnancy, by using a prosthetic belly, to take revenge on the men who killed her husband. The entire search had been a cleverly orchestrated web on her part!

Welcome

Welcome is a 2007 comedy drama starring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Feroz Khan, Katrina Kaif and Mallika Sherawat. Unexpected and hilarious is what this film climax is, where everyone is trapped in a house which is about to fall off a cliff. To save themselves, they must work together to balance the house on the edge of the cliff. A task made difficult by the fact that they people inside the house would rather shoot each other than work together to save themselves!

The climax is the peak of drama for each film, and no one does drama better than Bollywood! While some are normal and expected, others have us rolling in laughter or being shocked by the unexpected. The above were just a few of our handpicked films with dramatic endings, but we would love to hear about some of your favorite such movies in the comment section below!
