Tellywood reacts to Aamir Khan's statement on 'intolerant India'!

TV actors respond to Aamir Khan's remark on 'growing intolerance in India'!Read on...

Aamir Khan's statement on the growing intolerance in India has generated mixed emotions on social networking sites!

At a recent event, the 'PK' actor mentioned about his wife, Kiran Rao fearing about the upbringing of her child and wanting to move out of the country, due to the growing intolerance in India.

While a lot of Bollywood personalities have took up to Twitter to express their resentment against the perfectionist, we at Tellybuzz asked our actors from the Television fraternity about their viewpoint on the same.

Karan Sharma, who is seen on Star Plus' 'Mohi': I completely disagree with whatever he said. India is a democratic country and everyone is entitled to express their views, but that doesn't mean you can defame my motherland by calling in intolerant.

Namish Taneja, currently seen on Colors' popular show 'Swaragini': I am quite surprised how come all of a sudden India became an intolerant nation? Whatever is happening since last couple of months is damaging India's image at international level. Whoever feels India is intolerant should come ahead to fix the problem and make it more incredible, instead of playing the blame game. Koi bhi desh perfect nahin hota... usse behtar banana padta hai.

Aman Yatan Verma who was recently eliminated from 'Bigg Boss 9- Double Trouble on Colors': It is the responsibility of the ruling party to look after these matters. Since childhood, we have been taught not to discriminate, but if the minority cast feels that the country has become intolerant, the government should take action to make sure they feel safe.

Mohit Malik last seen on 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' 8 on Colors: I am quite amazed as I do not think there is any situation which is alarming at the moment. I cannot understand why she would say something this on the first place. India is a country, which has not been stable since the beginning and things keep happening at different frequencies. I feel with the Modi sarkar now coming into action, things have changed for better and it is now a developing nation.

Ravi Bhatia last seen on Zee TV's 'Jodha Akbar': On one hand, our prime minister is trying his level best to get more investment in India and putting all efforts to stabilize our economy. While a few bunch of people are glorying India as 'intolerant' nation. I think India is one of the safest and most tolerant nation in the world.

Vineet Raina currently shooting for 'Begu Sarai' on &TV quipped : Though Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao won't be able to watch, those who aren't leaving the country can watch 'Begusarai' at 10 PM!

Is India intolerant. Pakistan is India's traditional enemy. Banning of beef in some states leading to the murder of a Muslim man falsely accused of having beef in his fridge. banning of cow slaughter, trying to divide the country using faith. Where is the unity and diversity. India is becoming more openly, and indeed violently intolerant.

Please stop calling some other nation intolerant. That's not good. And also india is not at all intolerant nation. The other nation people understand this thing also. I'm not saying india is very save country. Every nation has their flaws. some good things as well as some bad things is there. Its upto us what we adapt. What amir said is his mindset. May be he and his wife find india intolerate. Its upto them.
but in my point of view india is very much tolerate nation. Which ever country we belong but above all we are humans. As humans we all have emotions, love their country, family and freinds.
BEING HUMAN

This is amazing Some Indians could not tolerate their fellow Indian commenting on growing intolerance in India but they are openly commenting on UAE Pakistan Syria Amir is an indian lives in India is not an anti indian because he is not involved in any terrorists activities in India in fact in many chairty causes for the better of his country but people find it wrong for him to commenting like such on India Fine He might have hurt the feelings of Indians but with right same indians are commenting on Pakistan Syria or UAE here You live there ?Why it not ok to comment on intolerance in india by your fellow india but you people are fine here degrading other nations calling them intolerant ? if some extremists group are there so India is not a safe heaven either Extremists elements are there which were actually Khan's target but you people don't find it correct then how correct it is from you guys to call other nations as intolerant ?

I'm so so so happy that most tv celebs are super duper smart in answers and rightly so, except one who came out of Big Boss.

Amen verma supported aamir khan statement of intolerance in country because 2 days before he evicted from most intolerated house in india i.e. Bigg boss house. So that why wherever he looks finds intolerance and negativity. It not his faults. Any normal person living 6 weeks in such intolerated atmosphere see intolerance elsewhere. Pitty on him.

@tanu ..again you are giving a baseless point without knowing which country i belong.this whole posts involves comments over those countries lije syria which indian, pakisatni or america never visited.when one incident as you say cannot judge one country, how can people judge other co:ntries like syria, pakistan.but still making comments on them.in a country, where a person is not allowed to even share his concern for his own country, shows how much democratic country it is.you dtated one incident,i can quote thousands.but the fact is ...people are not observing flaws.open up mind and then state.

Request donot bring religion into conversations.
NEW REPLY
by search on google, any body can answer how many minorities are present in india...that stupidity to check someone knowledge about recent incidents.
secondly..about my country...do you really believe ppl out here provide correct information.
third i mention syria not for your reply but general posts were on it.i have been to india(its my state or not) not important,so i know, what concequences people face over there in this new era of poltics.
lastly,i wont be giving any justification of my knowledge..the world and so called seasonal patriotics know where india is going.and not only india, even pakistan and syria are going..
a simple cooment by a citizen is taken into heights of stupidity just because "we dont agree with it .and our country" sentiments.every citizen know its country flaws..better watch them

p.s:topic is srious but i had a laugh over your restrictions to present you cases of intoerence ..recent,not political mistakes, not extremists work, not terriosts attacks...
if you remove all these things, every nation is perfect is peaceful

Please defined intolerance mr.khan. I still don't understand what intolerance mean.I'm not saying he is right neither he's wrongs.
India is a democratic country. We have freedom to speech. And its all right you had opnion and openly speak about it. But why are you blaming whole country about it. Certain incident happen in certain states that does not mean whole country is dirty.
Yes,their is certain issue in our country which is intolerent like proverty, crime against women. But that dosen't mean entire country is intolerant. Every countries has issue no country is perfect.
But problem is that india still called a third world country all the isssue potrays very big even it is the small issue.
So please guys rise above sex, race ,caste, gender, religion then only we make our country categorised in developed nation. And remove the tags of third world country.
And amir don't leave the country. You are more safe in your country rather than any other country.
I still don't understand log choti choti baatoein ke liye itna havoc kyu create kartein hai

Yes attiya its so easy to comment sitting from another country. Your comment shows you are least informed. Just an Uttar Pradesh incident cannot deem the whole country as intolerant. Because that what the outsiders do. generalise one incident with the whole country. You know nothing about my state and several other states so stop giving I know everything attitude. The aam admi does not support shiv sena, they are not even in power.
What an irony, the person who does not live in the country is talking about living like a minority and not a luxurious life. Lol.
Since you have talked about minorities, do you know how many minority communities are there in India?
Since I cannot make another comment replying here. Firstly I do have a vague idea from which country you are. I was in yhm forum long back. Secondly never mentioned anything much about Syria in my post. But stii we all know it is under the attack of IS. Thirdly you didnt even answer my question about how many minority groups are there. Fourthly thousands of intolerant incidents? Wow please name it! It should be recent. The notoriety of the politicians should not count haan! Prove that your comments are not baseless!
