Telly actors speak about Music on World Music Day!

Music has always been an extremely integral part of our lives. Music has that eternal power to set our mood right. Well, as we celebrate World Music Day today, we spoke to a few actors who have either been associated with music or have started off as singers. Have a look-

Neeti Mohan, Singer

"Music is everything to me. I do not need any specific day to celebrate music. I celebrate music day daily, 24/7 (laughs). Today's day is very special to me because our anthem called 'Music Dilme' was launched this morning and there are 13 singers who are a part of this venture. Some of them are Shalmali Kholgade, Amit Trivedi. Also today is a special day for me because it is my younger sister Mukti Mohan's birthday. So tonight we will celebrate and party."

Srishty Rode, currently seen as Anushka in Star Plus' Saraswatichandra

"Yes I do have some kind of inclination towards music. Earlier I used to sing really well but now I sing pretty okay. Actually I wanted to make a career in singing only but then I realized that there are too many people with better voice. So I backed off. At the moment I cannot sing very well is because firstly I am not trained, and secondly since the beginning you take care of your voice of not having cold things and oily stuffs that may affect your voice.

I love listening to Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh especially all the Aashiqui 2 songs. I would like to tell all my fans that keep listening to music and enjoy the music that you listen. Music can change your mood, your day. Music is very important. You have songs for every emotions whether you're happy or sad or in love. Just actively listen to music and be happy always."

Ragini Khanna, last seen in Zee TV's Gangs of Hasseepur as a host

"Music is something which I connect to spiritually. It is my life. Anybody who sings the song from the soul is my favorite singer. The world of music is very vast and very deep. It might just help discover oneself."

Vinita Joshi, currently seen in Life OK's Baawre

"Music is a reflection of Gods existence I believe. It reaches to ones soul. Music can connect with people. I love listening and singing too. I am blessed that I am getting to play a singer's role in the show that I am currently doing. I am getting more time to spend with music now...even during working hours. I am thoroughly enjoying it.

On this World Music Day we should salute the musicians, singers and composers who bring life to our lives with their soulful music. I would just like to tell all my fans that I love you all and keep listening to good music."

"I am highly associated to music. More than any of my associations, music will always be my first priority. I am happy to know that there is a day called World Music Day. For me every day is music day. I believe every family should indulge their kids into some form of arts; be it singing or dancing or painting. Because of this criminal cases bhi kam ho jayege.

I usually like all the songs. But there should definitely be something in the music that should connect with me.. these days I am constantly humming the Hate Story 2 song - Aaj Phir Tumpe Pyaar Aaya Hai.

If asked about my favorite singer then it definitely has to be Arijit Singh. I am totally and thoroughly in love with him. I have been following him since Fame Gurukul days. But above everyone, it is Lata Mangeshkar and Rafiji. They have some divine connect. Maa Saraswati ka haath he unpar.
