Television has become one of the biggest medium for portraying our Indian cultures beautifully. Thus on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, we bring forth the feature on the shows portraying Punjabi culture.

KumKum Bhagya on Zee TV
Balaji Telefilms' popular show Kumkum Bhagya has won millions of hearts. The performance of the star cast is immensely being appreciated by the viewers. The show has showcased all the Punjabi rituals and traditions perfectly till now.

Veera on Sony TV
The show is based on a brother-sister's relationship. They have shown Punjabi culture deeply and with each facts. The audience get the real feeling of being in Punjab because of the location, language and everything.

Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus
The show is beautifully portraying not only a Punjabi culture but also a South Indian culture. Toshiji in the show portrays the character of a Punjabi mother in law perfectly which make it look more real though she being a non Punjabi. They have shown it perfectly in terms of get up, language and even food.

Jamai Raja on Zee TV
The show is based on the son in law who has a tiff with his mother in law. The girl's family is shown Guajrati whereas the boy's family is a Punjabi. Though the show has a different concept, but still it has managed to portray Punjabi culture accurately which every married girl follows.
