STARTING JUNE 16^th, EVERY SATURDAY 9.30 pm,ON SONY ENTERTAINMENT CHANNEL.

After Star, Sony is coming up with it’s share of laughter, with a new show called Comedy Circus.

The USP of this show is the pairing of some of Indian’s most famous stand up comedians with a few of most versatile and popular stars of the teledom. The seven stand up comedians will pair up with one celebrity actor each to unleash the ’ laughing gas’ amongst the audience. The actors are going to train under these laughter gurus, and together they will perform on a highly competitive stage to vie for the winning title.

This unique reality based laughter show will feature names like Urvashi (Komolika) Dholakia , the 'a-rrrr' fame Ketaki Dave, sexy Karishma Tanna, Ali Asgar ( Kamal of Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki), Kiran (OM) Karmakar, Swapnil Joshi, and the versatile and very popular actor - Varun Badola.

The Stand Up comedians who will train and partner them are Shaqeel Ahmed Siddiqui, Anu Mudgal, VIP, Pratap Faujdar, Khayali Saharan, Kashif Khan and Sunil Sawara.

The two judges will comprise of the vivacious and irrepressibly charming Archana Puran Singh and the famous comedian Umar Sharrif. The bubbly and effervescent Shruti Sheth will be the host.

The jodis will perform before the live studio audience and of course millions of viewers across the country. Together they promise to produce some genuine rib ticking and some of the most roaring hilarious moments ever seen on Indian television. These unusual jodis will will compete for the top position of Comedy Circus over 13 weeks. Every week the judges and the studio audience will nominate two of the weakest jodis, one of whom will be voted out by the remaining participants themselves, until the announcement of the ultimate jodi !

This will ensure that not only the audience will break into peels of laughter pretty often, but also end up biting their nails in suspense over the votes. Of course, the pattern reminds us of the Nach Baliye format of Star One, and it's obvious that this will also bring in some drama and some strong emotional moments in the show.

So gear up for some loud guffaws, aching jaws from the constant mirth, myriad emotions, and rooting for the favourites in this unique reality show : Comedy Circus - Jodi Jamegi, Public Hassegi !
