The Anees Bazmee directorial, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is all set to hit the big screens on May 20th and the team seems to be super-excited to see fans' reactions. Now, in an unexpected and interesting decision, the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have decided to go with an affordable pricing approach for their horror-comedy starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu.
After numerous meetings and sessions of discussion, Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, as well as distributor Anil Thadani, agreed to abandon the upscale pricing plan. The goal is to entice more people back to the theater by making things as simple as possible, mentioned a report.
As per the report, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a family film, and the inexpensive ticket prices are the strongest inducement for people to gather out in large numbers. "The film has generated enough hype and exposure, and the crew wanted to decide with the public in view. They feel that reasonable pricing would attract more people, resulting in quicker word-of-mouth dissemination and that it is the old school and proper method of doing business, the report concluded.
Interestingly, the prices of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 tickets are approximately half of the costs of some of the big-budget films released in the recent two months, such as RRR, KGF 2, and Doctor Strange.
Advance bookings have begun across the country, with prices as low as Rs 160 and Rs 110 for tickets at PVR Juhu and Andheri in Mumbai, respectively, compared to the average retail price of Rs 200 and Rs 180.
The film is a sequel to the 2007 blockbuster success Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan.
