Amazon Prime Video has finally dropped the teaser for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, and it’s giving fans all the feels. The teaser mixes sweet romance with emotional drama, and Taylor Swift’s music plays a big part in setting the mood. Just when it seemed the love triangle was over, the teaser throws a surprising twist that has left fans excited and curious.

Season 2 ended with Belly (played by Lola Tung) choosing Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), while Conrad (Christopher Briney) was dealing with his mother’s illness. Many thought the emotional love story had finally reached a conclusion. But the teaser of Season 3 shows a happy Belly and Jeremiah sharing romantic moments with Swift’s “Daylight” playing in the background.

However, the teaser takes a dramatic turn in its final moments. Conrad shows up at Belly’s door, and that’s when Taylor Swift’s song changes to “Red.” This shift clearly hints that things are about to get messy again. The love triangle seems far from over.

As per the official description, “It’s the end of her junior year of college, and Belly’s looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah. Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life. Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart. Summer will never be the same…”

Author and co-showrunner Jenny Han spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the new season. She said, “It’s very sweet and there are so many amazing scenes for Belly and Jeremiah this season, so many. Lola and Gavin have really great chemistry and got into such a good rhythm with each other…”

Jenny also confirmed that Conrad has been away for a while and his return brings a new perspective. Everyone has changed during this time jump, and Season 3 will explore how they all reconnect in this new phase of life.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 starts streaming on Prime Video from July 16.
