Taylor Swift Drawn Into 'It Ends With Us' Controversy as Megyn Kelly Demands She Speak Out

Megyn Kelly wants Taylor Swift to respond to Blake Lively’s “dragon” text and the growing controversy around It Ends With Us.

It Ends With Us

American singer Taylor Swift has been unexpectedly pulled into the legal drama involving her close friend Blake Lively and actor-director Justin Baldoni. This controversy surrounding the film It Ends With Us took a sharp turn when journalist Megyn Kelly spoke at the Time100 Gala held in New York City and suggested that Swift should break her silence.

Megyn Kelly didn’t hold back while talking about Blake Lively’s presence on the Time100 Most Influential People list. She said, “She’s only here because she’s a celebrity,” hinting that Lively’s fame may be the reason she’s getting attention, not her impact or work.

Referring to a private text message that Lively had once sent to Baldoni—where she described herself as Khaleesi and Taylor Swift as her “dragon”—Kelly commented, “Either Taylor Swift is her dragon or she isn’t, I don’t know. That’s what Blake Lively said, so I guess I’ll have to take her at her word.” She then added firmly, “If I were Taylor Swift, I would speak out about this instead of distancing myself.”

Blake Lively attended the event with her husband Ryan Reynolds and her mother, Willie Elaine McAlpin. During her short speech, Lively became emotional as she praised her mother for surviving a horrific attack before Blake was born. The actress revealed how her mother’s strength and survival had always inspired her.

Now coming to the controversy—Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni after the release of their film, accusing him of sexual harassment and manipulating people in the industry to ruin her image. She stated that she suffered emotionally, with grief, anxiety, and trauma as a result.

In response, Baldoni hit back with a countersuit. He accused Lively and Ryan Reynolds of defamation, civil extortion, and breaching contracts. The matter has now turned into a full-blown court case, with a trial date set for March 9, 2026.

Reports suggest that both Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman may soon be subpoenaed as witnesses. The legal war seems far from over, and now, all eyes are on Swift—will she finally say something?
