Tabu opens up about the most challenging role she has done till date

Tabu is known for her impressive acting skills and her ability to portray complex characters on screen. In recent years, she has received critical acclaim for her performances in movies such as Drishyam, Kuttey, and Bholaa. However, the actress has revealed that her performances are not easy to achieve, as it takes a lot of hard work and dedication.

When asked about her most challenging role in recent times, Tabu highlighted her double role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Kartik Aaryan. In the film, Tabu played the characters of Manjulika and Anjulika, with both characters having different versions of themselves. She had to play both the young and present-day versions of the characters, as well as the possessed and normal parts. Moreover, there were also other characters that she had to play within her role.

Tabu admitted that the role was quite challenging, and it was the first time she had played a horror character. She had to switch her makeup 3-4 times a day on some shooting days, which made it difficult for her to keep track of which character she was playing on a particular day.

She quoted to E times,

"There were days where I played the bhoot and the normal character on the same day so between shots I would get busy switching my makeup 3-4 times a day. It was the first time I was playing the horror role, so it was very tricky to do all that. I feel horror is a very tricky genre. The toughest part in this genre is to look convincing in your character.”
