Taarak Mehta’s producer Asit Modi breaks silence on Gurucharan Singh's claims of unpaid dues and mistreatment

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a popular sitcom, always grabs the spotlight. Producer Asit Modi has faced different allegations over the years, including payment issues. Recently, amidst Gurucharan Singh's hospitalization, reports emerged of Singh accusing Modi of unpaid dues. Now, Asit Kumarr Modi stepped in to address the matter, shedding light on the true reasons for Gurucharan Singh's departure from the show.

While talking to Etimes, discussing about Gurucharan Singh, Asit Modi disclosed their strong connection and highlighted the deep affection his family holds for him,"Gurucharan is a good person and I’m emotionally connected to him. My wife and kids love and adore him. He was going through issues in between and I just pray for him that he gets out of the troubled times."

He decided to leave the show on his own. It was his decision, we never asked him to go. He also feels now that he should have been a part of the show and he likes the show. It’s been 16 years to TMKOC and people have their personal reasons to leave the show and you can’t expect anyone to be a part of your show forever. Still most of the actors have been associated with TMKOC and it is a big achievement. It is a daily show

This show is now above everything, it is not a money making machine, it has become an emotion. Whoever has been associated with the show has only done good in their lives. It’s been 16 years to the show and people have evolved so have I. Looks wise also people have changed, kids who joined the show have now grown up. I used to ask and scold them when they were kids if they were studying well."
