Taapsee Pannu reveals why she supported Neha Dhupia for ‘It’s her choice’ comment!

At Times Taapsee Pannu has been targeted to unwanted criticism even though she has given her best to the industry. Her recent release saw huge applause for the critics but still, a section of audience trolled her on twitter. In a recent interaction with Mumbai Mirror, Taapsee revealed how she tries to keep the praise on her shoulders and not get it to her head and also talked about the unwanted trolling she has received so far. She also reasoned why she supported Neha Dhupia for her comment on ‘It’s her choice’ comment.

Her last release Thhapaad saw praise from critics and audience as well, however, she reveals it scary when you have a linear graph and how it should always keep climbing.

She said, “It’s scary when critics declare you are in top form after every film. Where do you go from there? The graph should always keep climbing because once you reach the top, you have nowhere to go except down. Praise can go to your head, though mine is firmly placed on my shoulders.”

Further talking about Twitter, she spoke of how often people demand to ban films, she explained, “Twitter is a war-zone, when you try answering the trolls, they manipulate your words and give everything a political turn, making things controversial. Then, they will ask for your film to be banned. When it works despite them, they are enraged.”

Speaking about standing by Neha Dhupia after she was trolled for her comment on a reality show, she said, “Neha feels that cheating is a moral choice but violence is not acceptable. I feel both are morally wrong. One can’t be the answer for the other as two wrongs don’t make a right. Ditto for trolls, who questioned her morality and targeted her husband and one-year-old daughter. I was speaking up against that.”

Recently, PM Narendra Modi, addressed the nation talking about the deadly virus and urged people to gather together for a unique exercise on April 5 at 9 pm to show they were together in the fight against coronavirus. 

Taapsee Pannu extended her support. However, she was being extremely sarcastic. Taking to her twitter handle, she wrote: “New task is here! Yay yay yayy!!!” Her tweet received more than 1.3K replied in under an hour, most of which are trolling her for her reaction.
