Taapsee Pannu concerned with pollution caused by firecrackers: Couldn’t be safe even in my own house!

Taapsee Pannu is known to be fierce through her comments and staunch takes over her criticism. Even after she has carved a niche for herself in Bollywood, she believes she still feels like an outsider and landing on such a quivering platform can be a tough job. 

She has been cautious about her choices and now the actress has planned to contour as a vigilante as she spreads awareness about the bursting of crackers during Diwali. 

During a recent media interaction, Taapsee talked about her Diwali plans and how she celebrated Diwali back in the days when there were no firecrackers. 

The Pink actress revealed that she stopped bursting crackers during her school days. 

Narrating an episode from her childhood, Bollywood Hungama quoted her saying, “Once, a day after Diwali when I lit the gas burner in their kitchen instead of a blue flame, there was an orange flame. When I asked dad about it he told me that it happened because of the high content of carbon dioxide in the air.”

She further mentioned that it was scary to think that she couldn’t be safe even in her own house because of pollution caused by firecrackers. Ever since then, the actress has stopped bursting crackers.

Talking about celebrating Diwali with her family, she said Diwali is more about rangoli and that she and her sister spent nearly two hours to make one every year. The actress also adds how she has been painting diyas from the last few years. She and her sister, Shagun also have a competition to see who paints the best.

On the work front, Taapsee will be seen in Saand Ki Aankh, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar in a pivotal role. The movie directed by Tushar Hiranandani is slated to release on October 25.
