SVOI’s 3 mega finalists have a lot to rejoice for this Friday. Instead of “Sangeen Shukravar” it will become “Rangeen Shukravaar” for them. No elimination on Friday came as a surprise to all, and the stage was set to welcome few Bollywood stars. With that the participants also get a big Diwali bonus – A car as a gift for each one of them!!
This week’s elimination is critical as it will be the last elimination before the mega final. Ishmeet and Harshit made it to the finals but it was Abhaas whose journey in SVOI series ended. As a consolation prize, Abhaas gets a day's respite and a car as a gift before he bids the show goodbye. Someone who wished for a bike has now got his own car, so what does Abhaas himself has to say on this? “I think this was the reason why God never heard my prayers for bike as he had planned to gift me a car. Who cares about bike now?”,laughs Abhaas.
Even though viewers may be sad with this elimination, Abhaas was just the opposite. “This is life and in life, ups and downs come. That I could reach the final three and get so much appreciation and love is the biggest gift for me. See Irfan, he got eliminated and then got one of the best offers that a new budding singer can dream of. Maybe destiny has something better in store for me too. So I have no regrets.” And what about future plans? “I am now going to stay at Mumbai and complete my studies with pursuing my singing career. I got a call from Mukesh Bhatt and will be meeting him soon. Barring that offer, I just now don’t have anything but hope to get more soon.”
Despite all confusions and controversies, we are thankful to SVOI for presenting us a singing sensation like Abhaas. He has enthralled us viewers with his soulful singing and has endeared himself to us with his powerful singing, sweet and naughty gestures. It’s time now to wish Abhaas the very best in his career and we hope to see him shine as a star soon while get ready for the Mega Finals. Amul Star VOI now finally gets its two mega finalists – Ishmeet and Harshit who will now fight out for the coveted title “Voice of India”.
