Sushant's television woes

It’s learnt that Sushant Singh who plays the lead in Smriti Irani’s Viruddh is not too happy with his stint on television. According to the actor the medium is too hectic and the timings are completely erratic. He says, “I have a great regard for television, but somehow the medium is too hectic for me. It does not allow you to pursue other commitments and I want to focus on films too.”

At the moment the actor is awaiting the release of his film Ram Gopal Verma ki Aag in which he plays the role of Sambha. Adds Singh, “I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting for the classic character and my other films to come include Mukhbir and Lahore.”

Viruddh, which is co-produced by Smriti Irani’s Ugraya Productions in association with Applause Entertainment, is one of the top shows on Sony television. At the moment Smriti’s Ugraya productions is making three new shows for the up coming channel of INX Media, headed by Indrani Mukherjea.
