Sushant Singh Rajput, one of the chocolate boys of television who essays the role of Preet in Star Plus' Kis Desh Main Hai Mera Dil has bagged the meaty role of the lead in Balaji Telefilms' upcoming show, Pavitra Rishtha on Zee TV.

As reported earlier, Ankita Lokhande essays the role of the protagonist Archana, who is from the middle class society, well past her marriageable age, and is not getting a good match as she is not well-educated.

According to our source, "Sushant is cast opposite Ankita, and he plays the character of Manav who is from a lower middle class family. He is a family oriented guy, a person who can do anything for his people. He works in a garage, and helps run his family. He dotes on his parents, brother and sister and loves them a lot. In other words, he is basically a Lord Ram like character who is a sincere son and brother".

As reported earlier, Raj Singh who was seen in Jyoti and Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat plays Manav's brother, Swati Anand of Kasamh Se fame plays his bhabhi and Yamini of Tuj Sang fame plays his sister.

Sushant plays the adorable brother of Prem (Harshad Chopra) in Kis Desh.
