Surekha Sikri gears up for new project despite recovering from a brain injury!

National Award winner, Surekha Sikri who is famous for her roles in popular Television show, Balika Vadhu and is known for her hit Bollywood projects like Badhai Ho revealed that she is currently recovering from a brain stroke that she had in November last year. The veteran actress, who suffered from a minor paralysis post her film Badhai Ho confirmed that her medical condition is improving. 

Speaking to SpotBoyE, the actress said, “I had a brain stroke in November last year and I fell down when I was shooting. Since then, I’m recovering from a medical situation and my condition is improving. Badhaai Ho released in October and within a month I faced this due to which I got minor paralysis. I am unable to eat much and that's why I have lost a lot of weight. I have my family around to take care of me and I also have a wonderful physiotherapist who comes and helps me out with my movements.” 

Despite the injury Surekha also revealed that she has signed a short film which will be directed by Zoya Akhtar for which she is extremely excited and will start shooting soon.
