Mumbai, Aug 12 (IANS) Actor Suniel Shetty is now all set to try his luck in the garment business again. He is tying up with the Creative Group, a leading fabric company.
But Suniel is reluctant to talk about it.
'It's premature right now. The plans are being worked out. I'm happy to join them. They are among the biggest garment manufacturers and exporters in the business. The garment industry was always part of my business plans. But I wanted to wait for the right opportunity.'
Many years ago, Suniel lent his name to the exclusive boutiques called Mischief in the country.
'I'm no more a part of that garment business. I wanted to go global and the Creative Group will give me that platform. I'll be part owner of the brand,' the actor told IANS.
However, endorsing their products isn't on Suniel's anvil.
'We're calling the collaboration 'Creative Crossover'. I feel fabric fashion and design in India is comparable with any of its counterparts from any part of the world. Really, when it comes to clothes we're next to none.
'Our designers can compete with their counterparts across the world. That's why I've decided to be part of this company. Of course administrative decisions will be taken by the board of directors.'
Suniel had earlier said he would start wellness centres in Mumbai. 'We're looking at real estate and will get on with the construction as soon as we find the right land.'
The inspiration behind opening wellness centres was the reality TV show 'Biggest Loser Jeetega' hosted by Suniel. Aired on Sahara One channel, the game show encourages obese participants to shed their extra kilos and the one who loses maximum weight emerges the winner.ALSO READ: Junooniyatt: Dinner Date turns chaotic; Jordan clashes with strangers over Elahi
