Suniel Shetty opens up on the 'fear' he has with 'Hera Pheri 3'
Shetty revealed that the film will pretty much take a leap pf sorts because it has been almost 17 years since the release of the sequel of the film, Phir Hera Pheri.
The internet was set ablaze with that one image that millions were waiting for years and years now. After going back and forth about it, superstar Akshay Kumar seemingly agreed and was brought on board to be a part of the third installment of one the most loved comedy films of all time, Hera Pheri.
And while this itself was all kinds of fun, the test shoot of the same was also done and the image of the original trio, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar as Shyam, Baburao and Raju respectively was put out that got everyone to go in a frenzy. It is indeed relieving to see that the OG cast will be back for Hera Pheri 3 but it seems that Shetty shares the kind of fear that many of us also collectively share.
In a recent interview, Shetty revealed that the film will pretty much take a leap pf sorts because it has been almost 17 years since the release of the sequel of the film, Phir Hera Pheri. Fortunately though, as the characters will stay the same, the leap won't be necessary from the story point of view. He then mentioned how it is a great script though as it is an emotional struggle of the characters of Raju, Shyam and Baburao.
But then Shetty mentioned the feat an array of us also have. The actor hoped that the film is at least close to the original. According to him, ‘Hera Pheri’ is a very honest film and if they maintain the honesty, people will latch on to it. The film has a great recall value and he is looking forward to it.
The team will start shooting for the much-awaited film in the second-half of 2023. The dates are currently being worked out.
Apart from the original cast, ‘Hera Pheri 3’ will also star Sanjay Dutt in a key role.
