Sumona Chakravarti tests positive for COVID-19

The third wave of COVID-19 seems to have taken over after all with the cases on the rise and the news of people testing positive becoming more frequent than before. And the latest, to have caught the virus is Sumona Chakravarti, who took to Twitter to write about the same. 

With cases on the rise once again, they've become a cause of worry after all and everyone is alarmed about the spike as well. Maharashtra has reported a stark increase in the number of cases and restrictions about the same have started to roll out.

She tweeted about the same and wrote: I have tested positive for covid with moderate symptoms.  Quarantined at home.  Would request anyone who has come in contact with me in the last week to please get yourself tested. Thank you.

Just yesterday, there were reports about Drashti Dhami, Ekta Kapoor, and Delnaaz Irani, among others having tested positive for the virus. Many, in the industry, have in fact, tested positive including Nora Fatehi, John Abraham and wife, in recent times and as a result of the impending wave, projects have also been delayed, releases cancelled, and restrictions across the country have been imposed.
