Sumit Singh confirms her character's exit from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin post-leap

The popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, which has been consistently performing well on the TRP charts, is currently making headlines due to an upcoming leap that will see the departure of many cast members. According to recent reports, except for Bhavika Sharma and Karanvir Bohra, the entire cast will exit the show post-leap. While the production house has yet to confirm these changes, actress Sumit Singh recently shared her thoughts on her exit in a conversation with Pinkvilla.

Sumit Singh, who plays the pivotal role of Reeva in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, expressed her attachment to the character and the emotional journey she experienced while portraying her.

Discussing how she first learned about the show's leap with the mentioned portal, Sumit shared, "Well, I got to know from elsewhere about the leap in the show. I was getting calls from the Casting Directors who were calling me for other shows and I told them that I'm doing GHKKPM, that's when they informed me saying the show is taking a leap and a lot of characters will exit. I didn't believe them initially because the show is doing pretty well. Why will makers take a leap when the show is doing good? However, later, I realised it was true."

Sumit expressed her mixed feelings about the development, adding, "It is surely sad, but I've had a great time playing Reeva so far, and as an actor, it was an enriching journey."

In the conversation, she further highlighted how she poured her heart into portraying Reeva's journey through love, sacrifice, and pain. She conveyed how challenging it would be to move on from such a beloved role, emphasising her enjoyment in embodying Reeva, from getting into costume to experiencing the character's emotions.

According to the reports, Pallavi Pradhan and Sagar Saini will be joining the cast of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin post-leap. Additionally, reports suggest that Hitesh Bharadwaj from Udaariyaan will enter the show opposite Bhavika Sharma, who plays Savi.

For the unversed, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin centres around the intertwined lives of Savi (Bhavika Sharma), Ishaan (Shakti Arora), and Reeva (Sumit Singh), making their lives complicated.
