One of Star Plus’ longest-running daily dramas, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, has officially wrapped up after an eventful run that began in October 2020. Over the years, the show saw several major cast shifts, time leaps, and storyline revamps, evolving with audience tastes while maintaining a steady presence on the channel’s lineup.
The series initially featured Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh, and Aishwarya Sharma in leading roles and gained traction for its emotionally charged plotlines. In its later phases, the show underwent generational changes, introducing Bhavika Sharma, Shakti Arora, and eventually Param Singh as the new lead, with Vaibhavi Hankare and Sanam Johar joining in the final storyline.
According to a report aired on SBS, the show wrapped up its shoot earlier than planned. It was initially scheduled to conclude on June 30, but the final episode aired on June 29 instead. The report further states that over 18 scenes were scrapped in post-production as part of an internal decision to fast-forward the narrative and bring the show to an early close.
This decision reportedly came after the series was moved to a 6:30 PM slot—an attempt to retain viewership amid a noticeable dip in ratings. With declining numbers and mounting scheduling pressures, the makers, in agreement with the channel, opted to condense the remaining track. Several pre-shot sequences and dialogues did not make it to the final broadcast.
Fans who followed the show’s last leg, which featured Savi’s journey and a fresh romantic arc, noticed the abrupt pacing in recent episodes. Many took to social media to share mixed reactions—some disappointed with the rushed conclusion, while others expressed gratitude for the cast’s performances and closure.
The shoot officially wrapped up a day earlier than planned, with actors posting farewell messages and on-set selfies. Though the exit came quicker than expected, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin closes its chapter as one of the most talked-about shows in Star Plus' recent programming history.
