A 12 day fiesta from Oct 5- Oct 17, brings together a galaxy of stars and celebrities to light up the Diwali of STAR Plus viewers. Oct 5 –Oct 16 will be half an hour episodes which will culminate with a one hour grand festive extravaganza on Oct 17. STAR Diwali Mela Dilon Ka will make the viewers privy to the biggest Diwali mela and never seen before acts and performances beginning from Monday October 5, 2009 @ 8pm only on STAR Plus.

The festival that bonds families and friends will even become brighter and better as the entire STAR Parivaar joins together to participate in gusto this Diwali. In a never before seen line up – Diwali mela dilon ka will commemorate the season of festivity by lightening everybody's spirits! Parivaar of all the shows come together and celebrate their rishton ki mithas in their own unique way conveying the feelings of love, bonding amidst much drama, twists and turns…

Beginning the festivity the new hasti at STAR Parivaar – phuljadhi along with Gannu goes from one Parivaar to another spreading gossips. What follows is a series of khatti meethi musical stories of the couples leading to the celebration of Diwali Mela.

There will be performances coming from all in the STAR family. While Naitik and Akshara of Yeh Rishta perform a romantic number, Alekh and Sadhana of Bidaai too have a nice number in place. Ranveer and Ragini do a Navrathri act, while Raja and Rani of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat fame join together for a performance. Prem and Heer join celebrate their togetherness after a long time while Sharad and Divyanka enact the Ramayan act by being Ram and Sita. Aditya Redij and Natasha of Laado fame perform a Dandiya act.  It's a Tap Dance V/s Ghungroo for Jay Bhanushali and sayantani Ghosh..

The Grand Diwali Mela culminates with the Maha Laxmi puja with all the families of Star Parivaar coming together to perform the Maha Aarti.
