Special: Interview with Television's Baadshah Rajeev (Part 1)
A special two part interview with Television's Baadshah Rajeev Khandelwal. Find out more about his current project Left Right Left and his character - Captain Rajveer...
By: Hiral Bhatt
Just recently I-Fians voted for the hot and happening Rajeev Khandelwal as "Television's Baadshah". Now if he is the Baadshah reinging your hearts, how can we not put him in the hot seat? Our reporter Anju sat down for an exclusive chit chat with the man himself - your favorite heartthrob of Kaahin Toh Hoga, Time Bomb and Left Right Left Fame.
What does Rajeev have to say about his current show Left Right Left? How did he start interacting with India-Forums and its members? Lets hear all the answers in the first part of this two-part interview from Rajeev himself....
What made you accept the role of Captain Rajveer Shekhavat?
I was told about this one guy that comes in to the life of six messed up youngsters who is a possible spy and has a link with Naina's brother's death. The show is somewhat related to the army and I thought it would be fun to run around and train my self. It was just perfect!!!
How do you like working in an Army Backdrop Serial? How different is this from other serials you have worked in?
The content is not about the army - it is about 6 youngsters and a guy. I would love to do a character from the army where I get to look, behave, eat, talk, and walk like an army guy.
Does the Left Right Left cast and family look upon you as their captain in real life too as you are more experienced?
Oh no, rather I learn from them! In fact, sometimes they make it difficult for me as they think that I am a good actor and at times I have six faces looking at me and accepting something really big from my end during the shots. However, I believe that I am just an average actor so I try to look at them and react.
What character would you like to play among the six of your students?
I would love to play Yudi - he is a darling!
We heard that Shweta wont be a part of season 2. How true is this?
Yes, that is the story! Even I will not be a part of it but that will be a little later. Watch out for the story....
Want to find out more? Keep it tuned in to India-Forums Telly Buzz as this was just the first part of Rajeev's interview. He has a lot more to say about the future, his interactions with India-Forums members, etc etc. Stay tuned for the second part coming up tomorrow
