The struggle of a female to make it big in the sport of cricket, which is considered to be a male-dominated sport was aptly portrayed in the Star Plus show, 'Tamanna'. Actress Anuja Sathe portrayed Sharaa amazingly and the show was one of the most critically acclaimed shows.
And now after playing such a strong character, one can only wonder how strong a character would Anuja play in her next venture. And let us assure you, her upcoming role is certainly STRONG.
According to a leading news portal, Anuja is roped in to play the role of Radhabai, Bajirao's mother in Sony TV's upcoming mega-show, 'Bajirao Mastani'.
Yes! That's right. It was earlier reported that his role would be enacted by seasoned actress, Prachee Shah. However, after certain discussions and opinions, the change has taken place and Anuja will be seen portraying Radhabai.
The shoot for the show has already begun and currently the background story of Peshwa Bajirao is being shot. Anuja will be paired opposite actor, Manish Wadhwa, who plays Balaji Vishwanath, Bajirao's father.
However, amidst all these occurrences, the most rarest of coincidences are that Anuja was ACTUALLY a part of the original Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, 'Bajirao Mastani', where she played Bhiubai, Bajirao's (Ranveer Singh) sister. Here is the rare picture, where she poses with Kashibai (Priyanka Chopra).

And now to play the role of Bajirao's mother is a real jump, isn't it?
We wish Anuja all the best for this new venture..
