The coronavirus outbreak has spread massive concern globally and everyone has adapted self-isolation, to combat the globally spread disease. Now, Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam has decided to isolate himself along with his family in Dubai
Nigam issued an official statement on his Instagram handle and shared his concern for his fans and close friends. Furthermore, he also shared the precautions he has been taking in the wake of COVID-19.
In a recent interaction with Mid-day, he shared his travel history and also gave an update about his health condition. He also informed that he doesn’t want to be stuck in quarantine and burden the already burdened authorities.
I was in the Himalayas till March 5th and then my Mumbai concert got postponed, so I decided to join my family in Dubai till March 17. I'll have to wait now till things we normal. Don't wanna be stuck in quarantine and burden the already burdened authorities.- Sonu Nigam
He even took to his Social Media handles and shared a video saying, "I'm sure everybody is homebound and that's what we are too. I'm actually in my home in Dubai. I was supposed to come to India today but my flight got canceled last night. And then if I come tonight then I will have to be subjected to 14 days of quarantine. So, I'll not be able to probably lead a normal life. So, I might as well stay in Dubai with my family and come back when it's suitable."
While Sonu Nigam has denied returning to India, he has self-isolated himself and several suspected that he has been tested positive for COVID-19.
On the other hand, Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who returned for the UK a few days ago, has tested positive for coronavirus. She is currently in self-quarantine with her family.
