Singer and Music Composer Anu Malik made headlines during the #MeToo row last year. He was accused of sexual misconduct by singers like Shweta Pandit, Sona Mohapatra and Neha Bhasin. The entire issue caused his removal from the Judges panel of Indian Idol 10. Now, his inclusion in the eleventh season of Indian Idol has caused a major stir among everyone.

Recently, Malik wrote an open letter addressing the allegations against him concluding that all he wants is justice. Singer Sona Mohapatra, who has been vocal about the issue countered Malik by sharing a letter on social media. She explained everything Malik had blamed her for in eight points.

'Unverified' allegations you say? These are multiple testimonies of independent sane women speaking coherently & they have a common thread & story. What about the ‘mental health’ of all these people who have gone through this traumatic experience because of you? Did you care about them over these years? What about the mental health of good India & all the victims & their families when they see you flaunting yourself on TV? Rubbing it in? Your free pass in society?” Sona shared how her fellow singers have suffered because of him and yet he calls the allegations unverified.

Responding to Malik’s statement where he talked about his daughters, Sona said, "Being a father of two daughters doesn’t prove anything. Clearly it hasn’t held your libido back. History has shown us multiple times in multiple real-life stories. ‘Some’ Men will just be that...The show must go on. Without you. Don’t jeopardise the hard work of so many people & the dreams of so many contestants just for your personal glory & ambitions."

She also asked him to visit a sex rehab or take some counselling on how to behave better, "take a break, go to a sex-rehab or counselling or somewhere to reflect on how to behave better. Ask your kids to do a hard days job & earn a salary. They are adults. I started working at 22. Do whatever it takes. Stay away from the public eye? Show some remorse? Say sorry? If you did, this would not have happened. There you go! You answered your own question,” she wrote.

"Step Down Malik & yes, please do go to court. I request you to do so. Not just these 10 testimonies, we shall ensure ten times those are presented for the world to see. Let’s set a precedent for India, Mr Anu Malik. Let’s make sure no one feels like behaving as you have over the decades. I have the utmost faith that,” she further added.

“And just like Malik, she ended it with, "Justice shall indeed be served,” she concluded.
