Singer Mika Singh has responded sharply to actor Siddharth's recent comments regarding the promotional event for Pushpa 2: The Rule, which drew a massive crowd in Patna. Sharing Siddharth's remarks on his Instagram stories, Mika offered a sarcastic take, suggesting that Siddharth's comments have inadvertently increased his visibility.
Mika reposted Siddharth's statement, writing, “Hello Siddharth bhai, one good thing about your comment is that from today, people will know your name a little bit; just think, even I didn’t know what you do until now.” This jab highlights Mika's critique of Siddharth's dismissive attitude toward the film's popularity.
Siddharth had previously downplayed the significance of the large turnout during a podcast with YouTuber Madan Gowri while promoting his upcoming film Miss You, which was initially set to clash with Pushpa 2 but was postponed. He referred to the crowd as a marketing gimmick, stating, “It’s not a big deal to gather a crowd in India. You could bring a JCB for construction, and crowds would gather automatically. So it’s not extraordinary to see a crowd in Bihar.”

He further compared the event to political rallies, claiming that large gatherings do not equate to genuine interest or quality. “In India, there’s no connection between gathering a large crowd and quality. If that were true, all political parties would be winning,” he remarked. He added that in the past, such crowds were often incentivized with offerings like biryani and alcohol.
Mika Singh is not alone in defending Pushpa 2: The Rule. Recently, actress Janhvi Kapoor also spoke out in support of the film after it reportedly took over all IMAX screens in India, preventing the re-release of Interstellar. She emphasized that Pushpa 2 deserves recognition as cinema and criticized the tendency to idolize Western films while undermining Indian productions.
Directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa 2: The Rule was released on December 5 and has already grossed over ₹1000 crore worldwide within just six days.
