Singer KK passes away at 53 while performing in Kolkata

As per latest reports, renowned singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK passed away due to a cardic arrest while he was performing live in Kolkata.

As per reports he was performing at a concert at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. After that he returned to his hotel Espanade and collapsed. He was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute and was declared dead by the doctors when brought in. 

He was an Indian playback singer who has recorded songs in various languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati and many others.

KK started his career as a playback singer with A. R. Rahman's hit song "Kalluri Saaley" and "Hello Dr." from Kadir's Kadhal Desam and then "Strawberry Kannae" from AVM Productions's musical film Minsara Kanavu (1997). His Bollywood breakthrough happened with the sing Tadap Tadap from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999). However, before this he had also sung a small portion of the song "Chhod Aaye Hum" from Gulzar's Maachis.

KK has given an ample of hits which are still ruling our playlists like ‘Khuda Jaane’, ‘Dil Ibadat’, ‘Aankhon Main Teri’, ‘Zara Si’ and ‘Alvida’ to name a few.

His last song was from Ranveer Singh’s film 83 titled ‘Yeh Honsla’.
