Simran is gutsier than the guys on sets; I bond with Alice over food: Dev aka Akshay Kharodia of Pandya Store

Star Plus show Pandya Store has got a loyal fan-following. People adore all the characters and couples in the show. Pandya Store is produced by Sphere Origins and has a stunning ensemble cast including Krutika Desai, Shiny Doshi, Kinshuk Mahajan, Kanwar Dhillon, Alice Kaushik, Akshay Kharodia, Simran Budharup, Mohit Parmar, Srishty Maheshwari, Pallavi Rao among others.

The show marks actor Akshay Kharodia’s television debut and the actor has already made a mark with his stellar performance in the show. From being the lover boy to a sensible brother and someone who can stand firmly and aggressively with his family in need; Akshay got all the emotions right and made a special space in the hearts and minds of the viewers.

In a candid chat, Akshay opened up on his offscreen bond with the cast. He said, “All of us bond like a house on fire. There’s so much to learn from the lot. Even after being experienced actors, they don’t have an air about themselves which makes our scenes livelier and more interesting. We’ve been on an outdoor schedule for quite some time now which has enabled us to build a close-knit bond. We’re all together for almost the entire day and it’s fun. The best part is all of us are cordial and doesn’t have bad blood or insecurities with each other at all”.

When asked about his bond with the co-actresses Alice Kaushik and Simran Budharup, Akshay said, “Oh! I bond with both very well. With Alice, I’ve started the shoot from the initial days when the generation leap was introduced. She’s a foodie, just like me. We bond over food and talk about food all the time. Talking about Simran, I feel she is gutsier than most of the boys on the sets of Pandya Store. She is gutsy, adventurous and blunt. You ask her to jump from a height and without batting an eyelid, she’ll take up the challenge. I share a ‘bro’ kind of a bond with her (laughs)”.
