Sid Makkar breaks the shackles of Bachelorhood

A journey from being the 'Lover Boy' Satyakaam in Zee's Betiyaan to 'Mr. Cool' of Benaras in 9X serial Mere Apne, Sid Makkar has come a long way. Sid Makkar, the handsome and dashing young dude is on 'Cloud Nine' at the moment, after his marriage.

The actor who has disowned the tag of being called an 'Eligible Bachelor' just few days back proclaims, "I am a married man now. My wife is not from the industry, we knew each other for nearly 2 years. We got married just day before yesterday".

Talking about his character in 'Mere Apne' Sid says, "Shankar, the youngest son of the family is like the 'Mr. Cool' of Benaras; he is a lafanga to the core, utter waste in life and not at all studious like his elder brother. He is a guy who has Banaras in his blood, and thinks straight from the heart. Though extremely street smart, Shankar is someone who can even kill for this family."
Sid goes on to say, "I enjoy playing Shankar, there is so much physicality and the character is so raw, yet intense."

Sid admits that he gets to learn a lot from Vinod Khanna and Smriti. "Smriti is a great person to work with, the way she portrays her character, is just beyond words", says the young lad. "With Vinodji, I was formal to begin with, used to address him as 'Sir'. But then, one day, he came up to me, and showed me a funny SMS joke, and we both had a good laugh. This actually broke the ice. He is one man who is not at all egocentric, and the best part is that we both live in the South of Mumbai", says Sid before signing off.
