Singer Shreya Ghoshal has officially postponed her upcoming Mumbai concert, which was earlier scheduled for May 10 at Jio World Garden, BKC. The decision comes in the wake of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 26 Indian nationals.

In an Instagram note addressed to her fans, Ghoshal explained the reason behind the postponement. She wrote, “My dearest fans, with a heavy heart, I want to share that my homecoming concert in Mumbai… will be postponed due to the current events unfolding in our beloved country.”

The event was part of her ongoing All Hearts Tour. While the singer expressed her disappointment, she also underlined her sense of responsibility, stating, “As an artist and a citizen, I feel a deep responsibility to stand in solidarity with the nation during this time.”

Ghoshal assured fans that the concert is only postponed, not cancelled. “I promise that this is not a cancellation, just a postponement. We will reunite soon, stronger and more united than ever,” she added.

She confirmed that a new date will be announced soon, and tickets already purchased will remain valid. BookMyShow, the concert’s official ticketing partner, will handle communication with ticket holders regarding the updates.

The singer ended her message with a note of care, writing, “Until then, please stay safe and take care of one another. With all my love, Shreya Ghoshal.”

The cancellation aligns with the national sentiment following Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7. The operation reportedly targeted top commanders of terrorist outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. The situation has been monitored closely by Prime Minister Narendra Modi since the attack in Pahalgam.

While entertainment events often bring people together, artists like Ghoshal choosing to pause during moments of national tension reflects a growing sense of social and cultural responsibility in the Indian entertainment industry.
