Music director Shravan Rathod of the Nadeem-Shravan duo passed away last night due to Covid-19 complications.
Shravan was admitted at Mumbai’s Raheja Hospital in Mahim and was on a ventilator for the past 48 hours, but he finally succumbed to multiple organ failure.
According to ETimes, the late music director’s wife and elder son will be unable to visit him for the last rites. Reportedly, the two have contracted Coronavirus and are currently under medical attention at the Seven Hills Hospital in Andheri.
Shravan Rathod’s wife and son will not be able to catch his last glimpse before his cremation. Senior lyricist Sameer Anjaan, who shared a close bond with the music director confirmed the same to the daily and said:
"What can be worse than this if your nearest and dearest ones cannot be anywhere near you, neither in your last hours nor when you have left the world of living?"
Nadeem-Shravan were one of the most popular music composers in the 90s, and gave chartbuster soundtracks in films like ‘Aashiqui’ (1990), ‘Saajan’ (1991), Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pardes’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Raja Hindustani’.
May his soul rest in peace...
